Specifically, PIB handles complex investigations into government contractors, public corruption, fraud and abuse of authority, from the initial allegation through final disposition. The Bureau consists of attorneys, investigators, auditors and analysts. Although PIB is part of the Criminal Division, PIB brings cases pursuant to both civil and criminal authority. • Supervising, supporting and coaching PIB attorneys and support staff to enhance their skillsets and overall professional development; and
  • Carrying an individual docket of matters, as the Bureau’s workload requires.

The ideal candidate should have the following experience and qualifications:

  • At least eight (8) years of legal experience, including at least (5) years of prosecutorial experience;

In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that attorneys in the Office be citizens of the United States. A two (2) year commitment upon being hired is a condition of employment.

The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $156,000. The final salary will be determined after an evaluation of the selected candidate’s qualifications.
