Description

This seminar will cover the use of expert testimony to put concrete dollar values on categories of damages including lost wages, lifetime care costs (future medical costs), household and/or special care services, loss of fringe benefits, and other economic losses in severe injury cases. The presenters will include a vocational rehabilitation expert and life care planner, an economist, and a trial lawyer who will discuss the importance of “building the house of damages.” The purpose of each expert will be discussed, as well as, how these services are complementary. Methodologies and case illustrations will be reviewed so that attorneys can better understand how to effectively use these experts.
