Who gets to access your Facebook account when you die? What happens to your Twitter account? Your Instagram account? Your e-mail account? Your Bitcoin? The arrival of the Digital Age has given rise to new estate-planning and evidence issues. This CLE program will provide you the tools you need to stay relevant and current with estate law, most especially as they relate to estate plans and to their use as evidence in Surrogate’s Court proceedings. You will learn about digital assets, problems and challenges associated with access to digital assets and New York’s digital assets legislation.
