This program will review the ins and outs of probating a will in New York State Surrogate’s Court. Attendees will learn how to navigate the court proceeding from two perspectives. Experienced probate attorneys will comment from the perspective of the practitioner and Kevin McTernan, Chief Clerk, Probate Department, Surrogate’s Court, Kings County, will comment from the perspective of the Court.
What are the necessary steps in a probate proceeding? What are the pitfalls and potential sources of delay? What is the Court looking for to address irregularities? Paul S. Forster, Esq. will moderate this discussion-style program to guide attendees as to how to effectively represent petitioners in probate proceedings.
